The bible says that the beginning of wisdom is fear but since you have no fear you must be short on wisdom too. So what choice does God have than to instill fear in you in order to bring wisdom. Insurance salesman describe disasters as acts of God and it seems that God is going to insure that do get wise. You could call disasters wisdom insurance. Now God does not need disaster insurance, he has plenty of wisdom and is willing to share it with you. Now here is wisdom, God wants you to become God so that he will not need to send you wisdom. So either you obey by faith or obey by fear but obey you will.
