If you are a spiritual fish out in the open sea you will always be swimming against the current because most of the carnal fish will just go with the flow so you end up heading in a different direction and against the prevailing currents. It is more tireing but in the end it makes you a stronger swimmer. The school of spiritual fish are just a few, almost a remnant, a few scatered specimens here and there but since they are spiritual they shall hear the call to rally and will gather at the sides of the leviathan and he will become their shelter in the storms while the others will just be washed away by the tides of time.
