In this world it seems that who you are is more important than what you are, in other words your identity counts more than your character. But in the kingdom, who you are does not count as much as what you are. I saw a movie where a rich bad guy says to somebody, do you know who I am and that person answers , no but I know what you are. It is the same with God, he knows who we are but he also knows what we are. We are either born again regenerated beings or we are degenerate sinners, who you are does not matter, only what you are does. The only person whose identity really counts in heaven is Jesus and if you get that wrong you are out of luck. What Jesus is is easy to answer, he is our redeemer, the one who can change what we are and who we are.
